There is a new contest in progress.  This is to replenish our food pantry and collect items to send to our missionaries in Haiti, Rick & Cookie Ireland. There are two teams, the Giants and the Patriots, that will be competing with one another.  The losing team has to set up and clean up after our next dinner.  They also have to provide the entertainment.  Fun will be had by all.  The results will be posted.

I grew up in Troupsburg on a small dairy farm with ten brothers and sisters.  I graduated from SUNY at Alfred and from Roberts Wesleyan College near Rochester.   My wife Kathleen and I have been married for 43 years and have two adult children and two grandchildren.   I still work part-time as Development Director for a county wide Not-for-Profit agency.

I came to belief in Jesus during vacation Bible school at the age of nine.  While at Roberts I recommitted myself to Him and have walked with Him ever since.  We began our pastoral ministry in Hornell on January 1, 2008.  We moved to the city recently and are getting to know our neighbors and community.   God has given me a vision for the church and for the needs of the city.

We are blessed to be part of a loving church family.  We are not a large group, but we are a giving family.  We are growing stronger as we learn to live Christ like lives on a daily basis.

All are welcome to join us no matter what their past may have been.  We believe that Jesus is able to heal lives and empower us to love everyone.  He accomplishes this through each of us developing a personal relationship with Him.  We are not interested in building a religion, but in becoming children of the Living God.  Our message is “Come home to Jesus”.
